APRU research initiatives aim to address critical research topics of common concern. These projects allow APRU member universities to gain a better understanding of issues of strategic importance to research universities through the sharing of best practices.
APRU is collaborating with the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) on a study entitled “Globalisation and Tertiary Education in the Asia-Pacific: The Changing Nature of a Dynamic Market”. This research study will examine developments in the education sector, and the opportunities and challenges they present for regional economic integration and community building in the Asia Pacific.
The study will be conducted by a group of researchers nominated by APRU and PECC with support from the Secretariats of both organizations. Participating researchers convened at a workshop in Sydney in December 2007.
